A living local island
A long, slender island on the eastern edge of North Malé Atoll. A fishing community for generations, and since 2009 a place that welcomes visitors on its own terms.
Beaches

East Beach - First Sunrise in the Maldives
Be among the first in the country to greet the day from the quiet east shore and its photogenic water swing.

Evening Stingray & Baby Shark Watching
After dark, beach lights on the north shore draw stingrays and baby reef sharks into the shallows. Watch only – no feeding.

House Reef Shore Snorkelling
Grab a mask and swim straight from the beach to see reef fish and, sometimes, turtles about 100 m offshore.

North Bikini Beach
Dhiffushi's headline beach: a long ribbon of soft sand with sunbeds, cafes and a lagoon that glows turquoise.

South / Sunset Bikini Beach
A calmer bikini beach on the sunset side, with living coral at the southern tip for easy shore snorkelling.
Landmarks and neighbours

Bioluminescent Plankton
On lucky nights the shoreline sparkles blue with glowing plankton.

Meeru Maldives Resort Island (neighbouring resort)
The all-inclusive resort island directly across the lagoon from Dhiffushi's north beach.

Wander the sandy lanes past the mosque, school, boatyards and coral-stone walls to see how islanders live. Dress modestly.
Dive sites and surf breaks

Banana Reef, HP Reef & Lion's Head (longer trips)
Famous North Malé Atoll classics that local centres list as reachable on longer boat trips – think overhangs, soft corals and reef sharks.

Chickens
A long, peeling left that can run for hundreds of metres on its day, just across the channel from Cokes.

Cokes (Thulusdhoo)
A hard, hollow right-hander off neighbouring Thulusdhoo – one of the Maldives' most celebrated waves. For experienced surfers.

Colosseum
A current-swept reef bursting with fish life, especially thrilling in the north-east monsoon.

Coral Garden
Shallow gardens of table, branching and boulder corals – ideal for new divers and long, relaxed dives.

Dhiffushi Beyru
The outer reef off Dhiffushi itself, an easy-access site for local dive centres.

Jailbreaks, Sultans & Honky's
Further south in North Malé Atoll lie more world-class breaks reachable on surf boat trips from Dhiffushi.

Kassanfaru Corner (Beyru)
A popular outer-reef corner suited to novices upwards, with schooling fish along the drop-off.

Manta Bay (Dhiya Adi Faru)
Two small thilas that draw feeding mantas in the south-west monsoon – a Hanifaru-style encounter without the crowds.

One Palm
Home to a deep manta cleaning station just off the main reef – prime manta time is the south-west monsoon.

Stairs
A reef that drops in step-like ledges, sheltering reef fish and invertebrates.

Trix Caves
Overhangs and small caves draped in yellow and blue soft corals – a macro-lover's playground.

West Rock Wreck
A sunken vessel now colonised as an artificial reef.
